Indian company Titan’s freshly-launched ethnic wear brand Taneira will open around 40-50 stores in the top 20 towns in the next five years, according to Titan’s senior vice president for strategy and business incubation Ajoy Chawla. Taneira has two outlets in Bengaluru that were opened during the pilot testing in the last one and half years.

A flagship company-owned store of the brand opened recently in New Delhi's South Extension market, showcasing a curated range of hand-crafted sarees from across the
country

The healthy growth of the ethnic wear and saree category in the country made the company feel it is the right time to enter the market, Chawla told a top economic newspaper.

The addressable market size for Taneira is about 40,000 crores, which does not include the mass market, he said.

The Taneira range will only be sold through exclusive branded outlets, taneira.com and Tata Cliq, he added.
