The 2017 edition of the highly acclaimed International Conference on Textile Coating and Laminating series of industry conferences will be held 8-9 November at the Novotel Berlin Am Tiergarten, Berlin, Germany.
Now in its 26th year, this established conference series has become one of the most important meeting places for the global textiles coating and laminating industry. CALL FOR PAPERS
Contributions requested in the following areas, with emphasis on work that will impact the industry, short term as well as the future. Topics listed are not final but are given to provide context:
Session 1: The Industry - What we are and where we are
An overview of the industry covering the depth of the coating and laminating industry, the economic outlook, global developments that will affect the industry, environmental issues impacting the industry.
Session 2: Techniques and Materials - New developments in what we do and how we do it
Presentations focused on new developments in machinery and techniques. Production efficiency, bonding systems, developments in polymers, surface modifications, techniques for extreme properties etc.
Session 3 - Technology for Growth - What is happening to impact our future?
Topics such as nanotechnology, antimicrobial/antibacterial, smart/intelligent coating and laminating, green technology, conducting materials, developments in self-decontaminating, self-repair, treatments for improved properties.
Session 4: Opportunities - What are the new innovations and applications?
Focus on innovations, developing markets and applications such as solar/thermal, fuel cells, composites, medical/biotechnology, extreme materials, leisure, commercial, and game-changing potential.
Abstracts submitted for review should be 300-500 words. Selection of the papers to be presented will be based on ideas and concepts that emphasize new and significant findings and developments that will have an impact on the coating and laminating industry.
Abstracts must be received before 10 March 2017 - the earlier the better.
Speakers accepted by way of the Call for Papers will be eligible for a 50% discount on the registration admission fee. Speakers are responsible for their own travel and accommodation expenses.
The abstract must include the name, company or other affiliation, telephone number, e-mail address and mailing address of the speaker and/or the person to whom correspondence about the abstractshould be directed. Only one speaker per presentation will be allowed, though co-authors may be listed. The speaker for the paper should be indicated. Papers should be as generic and non-commercial as practical, with names of companies to minimum.
All presentations should be planned to run approximately 20-25 minutes.
Last year’s conference proved a great success with those who attended, with very good feedback and comments from both delegates, exhibitors and speakers. 96% of attendees rated the meeting good or excellent. Comments included:

The venue hotel is the Novotel Berlin Am Tiergarten, Berlin, Germany, which has excellent conference facilities. The hotel's central location makes it ideal for exploring historical Berlin. Tegel Airport is a 15 minute drive away.
