The global incontinence market is expected to double its current value of US$ 6.5bn by the year 2020, according to a new market report from WTiN Intelligence: Medical Textiles.

Entitled Adult Incontinence Nonwovens Outlook, the report aims to provide an overview of the market size as well as the social and demographic factors driving demand for incontinence products. It also covers economics of incontinence products, and identifies supply chain trends and influences on the market.

In addition, the report presents key market opportunities players should be exploiting in the incontinence sector; some of which include taking advantage of the direct-to-consumer market online, and providing incontinence as part of a ‘one-stop shop’ approach to long-term care.

Companies and organisations referenced are: SCA; BSN Medical; Procter & Gamble; Essity; National Association of Continence; Confitex; EDANA; Fater; and World Health Organisation.
